750. Kando, K. von. Nov. 1, 1913, [Convention date]. Axle-trucks and bogies.-In locomotives having more than three coupled axles, of which the leading axle 1 and rear axle 11 are laterally displaceable for negotiating curves, the second axle 2 and, if desired, also the rear but one 12 are arranged to be similarly displaceable. The pairs of axles 1, 2 and 11, 12 are pivotally connected at 4, 5, Fig. 2, by a yoke or balancer 3 laterally displaceable against the action of springs 10 with respect to a pin 6 secured to the locomotive frame, about which pin the yoke can also swivel. The yoke ensures that the pressures on the wheel flanges are equalized or are in a predetermined relation to each other.
