Seats.-A resilient. seat 5 for a loose ball check valve of the type secured in position by an external rib 3 held in a groove in the casing by means of an internal metal ring has the ring 6 formed with a wedge-shaped ledge 7 at its upper end. The ledge is made smaller in diameter than the passage through the casing, so that while the ring cannot be pressed out in an upward direction, it may be pressed right through the seat in a downward direction to facilitate the reversal of the seat.
