Abstract

Arc lamps.-A projeclion lamp is constructed as shown to allow of automatic and hand regulation of both electrodes simultaneously, and of independent adjustment of either electrode. Two pinions on a shaft 14 gear respectively with a rack 18 carrying an horizontal electrode 1 and with a sector on an arm 8, which is connected by a friction coupling to a lever 13 on the same pivot. This lever engages with the holder of a vertical electrode 2, and is provided with a handle for independent adjustment of this electrode. By turning a handshaft geared to the pinion shaft 14, and respectively releasing or holding the lever 13, the horizontal electrode is adjusted with or without the vertical one. Spring-urged clock - work, mounted in a rocking frame carrying an armature 5, may be geared to the pinion shaft 14 through a second friction clutch ; the clock-work terminates in a star-wheel which can engage a stationary stop.
