Abstract
26,842. Bayard, A. C. Nov. 30, 1912, [Convention date]. Springs, arrangement of. - Relates to vehicle bearing-springs of the cantilever type in which the ends of the laminar spring are connected to the vehicle frame and axle, the centre part of the spring being pivotally connected with the vehicle frame. The invention consists in employing two laminar springs on each side of the vehicle, the centre of each spring being pivotally carried in a yoke mounted in a stirrup depending from the frame. Fig. 1 shows a pair of springs c, d pivotally connected at their ends a, b and f, g, to the vehicle frame k and axle h respectively. The centre part of each spring, as shown in Fig. 2, is pivotally connected by bands n to a yoke m, which in turn is pivotally mounted on a pin l suspended from a pin j on the vehicle frame by a'stirrup i.
