Abstract

22,910. Thompson, E. E. Oct. 10. Corsets are cut high at the back and provided with two extensions a to which shoulder straps b may be attached. The extensions a are stiffened by bones or steels extending the full length of the back, and the straps bare attached to the front of the corset by eyelets b<3> and hooks b<4>. The bust-bodice is made of two stiffened portions c, c<1> attached at their inner edges along the lines c<2> and adjustably fastened at their outer edges c<3>, while the front of the corset is so shaped and cut away at the parts d as to lie deep on the hips and close to the groin.
