Couplings, disconnectible. - Pipe couplings, such as are used for joining steam heating-pipes between railway carriages of the type in which the two members are held together by a hook e on each member engaging with a projection on the other, have the said hook members provided with cam - extensions' f, so that on unlocking the coupling, the cams f will bear against the locking-teeth c and force the coupling apart. The hooks may be extended as at g to increase their leverage when forcing the coupling apart.
