Presses and moulding- machines with fixed mould table or moulds; feeding and measuring; delivery; sanding and cleaning.-In tile presses, the bottom plate h is held level with the top of the mould, during transference of material from the hopper t by the feed-slide s, by a locking-lever o engaging a rod n connected to a lever m acting upon a block d<1> upon the rod d carrying the bottom plate. An arm s<6> on the feedslide deflects the lever o when the slide is in position and releases the plate h, which sinks and allows the material to enter the mould. After pressing, the plate h is lifted, to eject the tile, by means of a cross-barf, engaging with a lever d<2> pivoted to the block d'. When the bottom plate h has reached the top of the mould, the locking-lever o swings over the rod n ; also the arm d<6> of the lever d<2> engages with the underside of the framework and deflects the lever out of engagement with the crossbeam f. The feed-slide s is operated by a lever r<2> which is rocked by a projection f<3> on the beam f engaging a trip-lever r<4>, and is returned by a counterweight r<7>. A brush z, carried by a frame v<1> mounted in guides v on the frame s and furnished with rollers v<2> running on rails i<1> on the stamp i, cleans the face of the stamp.
