Thread - guides. - In lappets or thread-guides for spinning, doubling, and twisting frames, in which a metal holder adjustable relatively to the lappet carries a porcelain guide-eye, which is secured by resilient means, t h e holder A is provided with a separate spring C which engages with a shoulder, recess, or projections formed on the under-face of the eye B. A lip a<3> on the holder engages with an indentation b<1> in the eye. The spring may pass also over the upper face of the eye. The snarl-catcher E is of the kind described in Specification 8535/13.
