Abstract

21,326. Glendinning, T. Sept. 22. Sticks. - A walking- stick stool, comprises a handle formed in two parts united by hinges g and adapted to be opened out as shown in Fig. 1 to form the seat of the stool, the segments of the stick being screwed into socketpieces f to form the legs of the stool. The handle is attached to the stick by means of a sleeve j, which engages the two parts by means of catches l, m or screw-threads. Catches or screwthreads are also employed for securing a terminal cap to the handle. The stick is formed of a number of segments, each of which is adapted to be extended when employed as a leg of the stool by means of a tube &c. o secured to a short section n of the same diameter as the stick. Collars p, q on the extension are screw-threaded, so that either may be engaged with a screw-threaded bush r secured in the end of the hollow segment.
