Abstract

Endless moving sieves.-Relates to a machine for grading cereals and other granular substances of the kind in which an endless travelling sieve and sieve-cleaning brushes are used, means being also provided to collect and discharge the treated materials. In the present invention, the endless travelling sieve g is mounted on an incline, and a pair of rotating brushes q, r behind the delivery shoot d are arranged to rotate in an opposite direction to that in which the sieve moves. Ropes m are used to strengthen the edges of the sieve, and a grid p prevents the sieve from sagging, adjustable supporting-means n for these members being provided. The brushes q, r and supporting-rollers h, i, k, l are rotated through chain gearing, and the sifted material or throughs are collected by a #-shaped trough s and discharged at the sides of the machine.
