20,872. Haggie, P. N. B., and Haggie, 0. S. Sept. 16. Capping.-A socket or capping for securing upon the end of a rope comprises two longitudinally tapered recessed parts A, B hinged together by a riveted bolt C, or a bolt and nut, so that they may be separated scissor fashion, separate eyes E being arranged to come together when the socket is secured on the rope by means of clamping-rings D. According to the Provisional Specification, the ends of the socket form either a " bow " or an eye.
