Abstract

20,722. Beldam, E. A., and Beldam, W. R., [trading as Beldam, R.]. Sept. 13. Mosaic and inlaid fabrics.-Pieces of rubber B having rounded upper surfaces projecting above that of the surrounding material arc inlaid in linoleum &c. to increase its resiliency. These rubber pieces B may form keys for linoleum tiles. According to the modification shown in Fig. 4, the rubber piece B<1> is inlaid beneath a rounded piece of linoleum C. Fig. 6 shows a further modification wherein a thin layer of linoleum C<1> covers a dome-shaped piece of indiarubber B<2>. The invention is stated to be applicable to floor coverings, mats, and stair-treads.
