Abstract

20,416. Richardson, W. J., and Etheridge, H. Sept. 9. Ink-ribbon mechanism. - Relates to ink-ribbon spools of the kind provided with a member projecting through one of the flanges and moved radially under the control of the ribbon to actuate the reversing-mechanism. In order that the spools may be used on either spindle and still operate the reversing-mechanism, the pivoted member D is made to project beyond both flanges B, C of the spool. The member D is pivoted at D<1> to the hub A, is curved to fit against the hub, and is provided with cars D<2> projecting through slots B' in the flanges B, C.
