Abstract

Detachable-rim attachments to wheels comprise annular or segmental wedge members 6, 7 drawn together by transverse bolts 11 between the rim 3 and felloe 1 which may be curved in opposite directions as shown. Creeping may be prevented by the bolts 11 engaging registering grooves in ribs 5, 2 on the rim and felloe. When the securing members are in the form of blocks they may be so shaped that, on loosening the nuts, they may be turned half round to allow removal of the rim. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 21,540/05, 26,749/07, 9922/08, and 16,812/11.
