Abstract

Moistening.-Apparatus for purifying and aromatizing air which is distributed in a cinematograph theatre or other building comprises wicks 10 of loosely aggregated fibrous material supplied with a suitable liquid from a casing 11 and draining into a casing 12. The casings may be mounted on a conical or other guide 8 fitted to the inlet of a fan 4, the lower casing 12 being detachable. The wicks 10 are preferably in one continuous length which is passed through a strip 10<1> held beneath projections at the top of the lower casing. The liquid is supplied to the upper casing in drops, preferably by a device 17 resembling a needle lubricator. As shown in plan in Fig. 1, one or more aromatizers &c. are each arranged adjacent to a corresponding wall inlet 7, the air from each fan being delivered through a pipe 2 provided at intervals with distributing nozzles 3 of the type described in Specification 24,229/11, or of other construction.
