Protectors, construction of.-A revolving heel pad is formed of two layers of leather each composed of pieces of leather A cut and fitted together to form a circle, the layers being secured together by nails, screws, or other fastenings which also pass through a binding-strip C arranged between the layers. A metal disk B with a hole in the centre for a securing- screw D is fitted between the layers. The pieces of leather in the two layers are preferably arranged in staggered order.
