16,886. Vere, J. de. July 24. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Billiards, cues for.-Relates to screwed sleeve devices for fixing tips to billiard and like cues. The sleeve 2, Fig. 5, is screwed at one end 4 to receive the end of the cue, and the other end 6 of the sleeve is annularly grooved to engage with a projecting stem on the tip. Slots 11, either straight, as shown, or spiral, may be formed in the end of the sleeve. The tip end of the sleeve may have a thickened screwed end of smaller internal diameter than the cue-end, and with or without annular grooves adapted to engage with the projection on the tip.
