Abstract
16,559. Callow, J., and Callow, H. L. July 18. Dough dividing and working machines.-Doughis folded by means which expand during the folding, to ensure a tight closure. In one form, the dough is carried through a folding shoe A, Fig. 2, by a pair of endless belts E, F, which normally lie side by side upon a third belt G and which diverge on passing through the shoe ; or a pair of overlapping belts K, L, Fig. 4, may be employed. The dough may be folded by flexible expansible pallets comprising different parts capable of diverging during folding. Fig. 8 shows a pivoted-flap folder in which the flap M is extended during folding by the engagement of a roller 0 with a cam P ; Fig. 9 shows a modification in which the flap is provided with an endless band R passing around rollers S rotated by gearing T.
