Combined buffer and draw gear.-The draw and buffing rod b is formed with a collar which is disposed between a draw-spring c and a buffing-spring f within a casing fixed to the vehicle, the buffing-spring being made stronger than the draw spring. The arrangement is preferably used with an automatic coupling of the kind described in Specification 13,639/11.
