Abstract
14,318. Taunton, J. B., and Higgs, C. W. June 20. [Addition to 20,053/12] Springs, arrangement of. -In spring fastenings of the kind described in the parent Specification the part beneath the spring is extended and formed in two parts which can slide over one another under control of interposed springs. Fig. 1 shows the main spring c secured in its seat by a set-screw f passed through a plate e held in grooves in the sides of the seating. This seating has an extension g in which slides another member h secured to the axle. Springs o are placed between the membsrs g and h, and screwed pins k on the member h slide in slots in the member g.
