Extracts, making; vaporizing by heat.-Apparatus for medicating steam for steam baths comprises a chamber r containing two strainers b, c, between which the herbs for medicating the steam are placed. Steam is admitted by a pipe d and passes out by a pipe f. The herb juices collect in a chamber g, which is adapted to be put in communication with a chamber k by withdrawing a slide &c. 7. The strainer c is slidably mounted in the chamber r so that the juices in the chamber k may be forced by steam from the pipe n through the pipe q either into the herb chamber h or into the chamber i above the strainer c. In a modification, the pipe q has two branches, one entering the chamber h and the other entering the chamber i so that the juices may be forced into either chamber without moving the strainer c.
