Belts.-In a chain-belt, the links that carry the friction members are stamped up from sheet metal with spacing-projections 5 and outer and end lugs 3, 4, which are bent over so as to form box-like receptacles for the members 6. The projections 5 may be dispensed with, the two links being formed as one U-shaped piece. The members 6 pass right round the inner side of the chain, and may be secured by rods or bolts 7 preferably consisting of soft metal adapted to be closed over or riveted after insertion. Spacing-bolts 9 also are used, and may form the pins by which the links 1, 2 are pivoted to the intermediate links 10.
