[Addition to 19,361/12.] Spring surfaces.-Relates to woven-wire seats of the type described in the parent Specification, wherein the sides a of the seating-surface are bent around to form a resilient border to the seat, and consists in making the ribs or bars B to which the edges of the fabric are secured of such strength that the continuous supporting-rails may be dispensed with. The bars B in addition to being supported on end bars J are connected at intervals by bars D. The edges of the fabric may be turned up into a more or less vertical position in order to afford greater strength, and the bars B may be crimped as shown in Fig. 4.
