9955. Schorigin, P., and Levin, E. April 28. Pickers; shuttle boxes; lays. - In order that looms for weaving wide fabrics may be adapted for weaving narrower fabrics, pickers 7 are used having extensions 7<1> to suit the width of fabric being woven. Each shuttle box consists of a metallic guide 3, a front wall 6, and a rear wall 4, 5 attached to an angleiron 9 secured to the lay, the walls being adjustably mounted on the lay 1. The pickers are actuated by whips or by flat beaters 8.
