9705. Kemp, F. J. April 25. Lateral-splash guards for use on motor and other vehicles are supported by a frame a carried by the vehicle, the frame being provided with a central hole or apertures and with runners h, and the guard d being furnished with rollers, studs, or projections engaging with and adapted to move over the runners. The guard can be elevated on striking an obstruction, either by the rollers &c. running up the runners, or by lifting the rollers &c. in any direction clear of the runners.
