Abstract
8829. Schroeder, F. W. April 15. Locks, revolving-barrel. - A revolving-barrel lock of the transverse pin-tumbler type is adapted for use with a cylindrical key c, the revolving - barrel b being provided with an axial pin d over which the key passes. The pin d is screwed into the end of the barrel and is held against removal and in its correct position by means of the T-head f<1> of the connecting bar f which extends into slots in the barrel and pin. The barrel and the bar f are held in place by a cap e secured to the end of the barrel. The key-pin d is provided with notches d<2> which the tumblers g are adapted to enter, the key being provided with notches or apertures as indicated. The tumblers are inserted into the lock from outside the casing a and are secured therein by a plate i, which is sprung into a dovetailed recess over the openings.
