Casings.-In a centrifugal pump comprising a disk a having blades b on its two faces coextensive in a radial direction with the disk, the blade - wheel being provided with a spiral delivery pipe e which increases in cross - sectional area towards the discharge end, the blades b are arranged to extend into the pipe e, and the annular plates c of the casing are also extended so that their outer edges j project beyond the ends of the blades to points near the centre of the cross - section of the pipe e.
