' Multiple fabrics ; asbestos fabrics ; composite metallic and non-metallic threads, fabrics with. -One or both faces of driving or conveyer belts of the solid woven type are formed of plain or metallic asbestos yarn to withstand heat. The asbestos yarn may form the warp or the weft of the top or of both the top and the bottom cloths, the other threads being of ordinary fibres such as hair, jute, flax, hemp, or cotton.' The weft-binder yarns for the solid woven fabric are preferably of asbestos also. The material may be impregnated with any suitable preservative.
