Abstract

6993. Ribes, P. C. March 22, 1912, [Convention date]. Steam - traps. - A steam-trap consists of a receiver 2 having a porous tube 9 of porcelain or similar porous ceramic material through which water of condensation permeates, together with a valve 4 which opens to discharge water freely when the steam pressure is cut off. A spring 5 opening the valve is adjustable by means of a perforated cap 6. The tube 9 is secured by means of a bronze washer 10 and a screw 11.
