Abstract

6426. Priddy, W. C. March 15. Grant of Patent refused. Moulds.- A mould for silica bricks &c., comprises end plates C secured to or formed in one with the bottom plate B and adapted, when the mould is reversed, to slide between the side plates A and deliver the bricks without damage. In the mould shown, the sides A are tied together by rods E which also carry a partition D upon which the end plates C are guided by a slot F. Flanges G are provided on the bottom plate B to prevent sliding of the ends until the mould is properly reversed, and also to limit the extent of the sliding by engaging with the carrying-handles H. Fig. 6 shows a modified form of mould for producing tapered bricks.
