Incandescent gas burners. - The external air supply to an inverted burner passes into a heating-chamber heated by the combustion products and thence to the underside of the mantle. In one form, the heating-chamber e surrounds the burner tube and communicates with the outer air through tubes f and an annular space g and with the lower side of the mantle through tubes h and the annular space between the globe j and a depending, preferably slightly tapered, chimney k.
