Moulding columns, chimneys, and tanks in situ.-Adjustable moulds for columns or cylindrical structures consist of two or more vertical telescoping sections, formed of curved flexible metal plates 1, 2, 3, 4 with abutting perforated flanges 5 and secured by rigid bands formed of curved overlapping sections 6, 7 8, 9, which pass through the perforations in the flanges 5 and are clamped by wedges 13 inserted in registering slots in the overlapping ends. The mould plates are clamped at intermediate points by slotted keys 14 inserted in the perforations of the flanges 5 and by wedges 15. Moulds of different diameters are formed by using plates of standard widths, with or without filler plates and bands of the desired diameter. Distancepieces 16, of wood, may be used to keep the overlap of the mould sections constant. Hollow structures, such as tanks and chimneys, are constructed by using inner moulds of any suitable kind.
