Lateral-splash guards. - In side-splash and other guards for motor and like vehicles, shields A, A' pivotally or flexibly secured at one end to the vehicle frame, running-board, ordinary mud-guard, or other part, are slidably connected at the other end to slotted guide rods c secured to the ordinary guard C, the forward ends of the front shields being bent over and connected to the front of a scoop or fender D which is secured at its rear to the underside of the vehicle by a hinged or flexible connexion d.
