Abstract
4514. Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co., and Franklin, C. S. Feb. 21. Aerials for wireless telegraphy consist of a closed or looped circuit in a vertical plane having condensers distributed round it at approximately equal distances, the capacity of each condenser being so adjusted that for the particular wave length to be used it just compensates for the inductance of the part of the circuit joining it to the next condenser. The condensers may be placed in waterproof cases at the tops of the aerial masts, and may be shunted by coils of high inductance to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charges.
