Abstract

Channels and reservoirs in antifriction-wheel bearings.- Three antifriction w h e e l s forming a shaft bearing, adjustable for shafts of different sizes, are lubricated by oil in a well 16, and the wheels are bevelled at one end to facilitate the circulation of the oil. Radial passages 17, fitted with wicks, convey oil to the axles 11 of the wheels 13, 14. As shown in Fig. 4, the wheels may be grooved to accommodate lubricating-chains 44 which dip into the well. The wheels may be replaced by balls retained in spherical depressions in the parts 1, 4, 5.
