Vehicular lanterns.-In lamps for motor and like vehicles, the lens-holder a is fitted with projections b adapted to enter apertures d in a rim c<2> on the lamp casing c, or vice versa, the apertures being continued as circumferential slots d<1>, along which the projections b travel to draw the parts a, c together. In the form shown, a tight joint is ensured by flat leaf-springs e having bulged portions e' to prevent accidental detachment; and the edge of the lens-holder is received by a recess c<4>, Fig. 3, in which there may be a rubber or like ring f. The projections b may be brazed to the lens-holder, and are of L, Z, U, or other section. Strengthening- plates g may be fixed within the flange c<2>.
