Abstract

411. Block, L. Jan. 6. Sanitary and hygienic devices.-A device for exhaling disinfectant vapour upon a telephone mouthpiece comprises an annular holder 10 of hard rubber or like material having a recess 11 which contains porous matter 12. Disinfectant fluid is poured through a hole 14 into a tapered space 15<Î>, whence it is absorbed by the porous matter 12. The holder can be supported on a ring 19 mounted as shown and provided with a continuous or interrupted screw-thread 17, between which and the flange 16 is a plain groove 18. The holder 10, having been turned until the ring 19 lies in the groove 18, is held tightly by means of springs 21 cut out of the ring and engaging the groove. The holder can then be turned till the hole 14 is uppermost, as indicated by the button 25. Printed advertisements may be provided in a recess 22 and may be covered by celluloid.
