Abstract

165. Jenkins, H. C. Jan. 2. Respirators.-Portable breathing - apparatus is provided between the injector D and regenerator B with a pressureequalizing reservoir v to supply air or gas during heavy breathing a n d so prevent fall of pressure and possible entry of foul air or gas on the suction side. The reservoir may consist of an elastic or flexible bag or belt, or of a cylinder with an air-tight piston subject to the pressure of the atmosphere, a spring, a weight or the like. The reservoir may either be connected to or form part of the air-pipe f<1>.
