Abstract
28,932. Clark, J. C. Dec. 16. Fixed sieves. - The lower inclined sieve 23 is provided with plates 53 having inclined surfaces against w h i c h adjustable hammer-like members 50 mounted on rotary shafts 43 are arranged to strike. The plates 53 are preferably secured to the reinforcing-strips 27, 28 of the sieve, as shown. The vibration produced in the lower sieve is imparted to the upper sieve by adjustable bolts 59 which normally contact with the upper part 54 of the striking-plates. The material is fed to the sieves by a screw conveyer in the casing 37, an adjustable gate 40 being provided. The graded material is carried away by suitable shoots or conveyers.
