Abstract

27,234. Lidstone, S. G. Nov. 26. Drawers and drawer fittings -The falling front g of a drawer is raised automatically when the drawer is closed. The front is carried by a link e pivoted to the drawer at d and bearing at its other end against a cam surface k fixed to the side of the cabinet. In the lowest drawer the cam surface is shown consisting of a rail with which a roller f<1> on the link e engages. Stops i limit the motion of the link e. The Provisional Specification also states that weights or springs may be used to close the front ; and that the inner ends of the levers may be attached to pairs of jointed links pivoted to the cabinet, the links collapsing when the drawer is closed, and stretching to swing the levers when the drawer is opened.
