Levers, locking.-Comprises means for locking the gear-shifting lever of a motor - vehicle in its mid position, to prevent an unauthorized person from using the car. A plate 2 is screwed to the lever 1 and is provided with notches 4, 5 for holding a sliding bolt 6 in an adjusted position The bolt has a recess at 7 and a deeper recess at 8. In the recess a latch 9 is provided nor mally held in the positior shown by a spring 10 The upper end of the latch has an arm 12 which contacts with an arm 13 on the botton of the lock barrel 14 A key enters at 15 to operate the arm 13, and when it is desired to lock the lever, the bolt is moved into the position shown in Fig. 5. Fig. 6 shows the bolt raised.
