Abstract

26,144. County Screen Co., and Watson, L. J. Nov. 14. Hoods.-The side curtains 6 are suspended from a cable 7 which is adapted to wind on to a spring- actuated drum 10 secured upon one hoop-stick 4. The rear extremity of the cable is fastened to another hoop-stick 1 either permanently so that the cable is unwound with the extension of the hood, or detachably to allow of the cable being independently manipulated. According to the Provisional Specification, the rear or both ends of the cable may be connected to the hoop-sticks by coil springs, the spring drum being dispensed with in the latter case.
