25,620. Tullis, J. T. Nov. 8. Securing articles on shafts.-Relates to a construction of driving-key and keyway for shafts. An undercut groove is formed in the shaft A, and sections of the shape shown in Fig. 4 are stamped from steel scrap plate or other suitable metal and inserted into one enlarged end E<2> of the groove and are fitted against a semicircular block E at the inner end of the groove. A piece of white metal E<3> is hammered into the end E<2> and forces the plates together, or a piece of steel pinned in position may be employed.
