Rolling-machines.-Relates to the combination with the means for automatically raising the upper roller described in Specification 7527/10, of means for automatically stopping the machine as the roller is raised. The rollers are driven in either direction through pulleys m, n, one of which is thrown into engagement by a clutch l operated by a lever k connected through a lever o to starting- levers p. The lever k is also connected to a lever pivoted at h and having arms g, g', one of which is raised above the other, as shown in dotted lines, when the machine is running. When the catches f are withdrawn from the bearings of the upper roller, the counterweight a, or a bar connected to the springs controlling the bearings, drops on to the levers g, g<1>, and depresses the higher lever until they are both at the same level, thereby turning the clutch l into the central, disengaged, position.
