Abstract

24,446. Gruver, J. H., and Norris, F. Oct. 25. Bottles, non-refillable. - A bottle neck is closed by a sliding valve 2 within which operates a ball valve 7. The valve 2, which consists of a hollow cylinder provided with outlets 6, slides in a collar 1 spun into the neck of the bottle. The ball 7 is limited in its movement by distance-pieces 12. The metal collar 1 rests on a very slight projection 16 in the bottle neck and has a cork packing 14 below this. In a modification, the cork packing is placed above the projection 16.
