Abstract
23,485. Harrison, T. Oct. 15. Beer pumps.- In order to allow the free escape of gas from a beer engine, the outlet c' is formed at its highest point and one or more vent passages g in the bucket valve, and f<2> in the foot valve, are provided. The passages g may be closed by a valve h so that the valve is automatically opened when in the lowest position. In place of the valve h, a single vent in which a pin fits loosely may be employed. In addition to the foot valve, a non-return valve is mounted in the feed-pipe near the cask.
