23,450. Jaques, A., and Wells, G. Oct. 14. Explosives. - Consists in the use of benzoyl peroxide in conjunction with priming-compositions for lowering the temperature of ignition. One example contains 40 per cent of benzoyl peroxide, and 60 per cent of fulminate of mercury; other examples contain benzoyl peroxide, lead or cuprammonium thiosulphate, and potassium chlorate. According to the Provisional Specification, the benzoyl peroxide may also be used alone.
