Abstract

20,929. Gaydon, F. B. Sept. 13. Muffs.-The supporting-chain of a muff is passed through a tube of metal &c. inside the muff, and is sewn to it at its ends through holes g. The tube has flared ends c, d, and it may be telescopic, one part a fitting in the other part b. Sliding rings f with swivel catches e are provided for supporting purses &c. within the muff. Instead of the tubes a, b, a guard of semicircular or other suitable cross-section may be used, rings being provided to keep the chain in place and the ends of the guard being tubular. The Provisional Specification also states that the guard may be lined with cork.
