20,888. Jones, J. Sept. 13. Shuttles adapted to be threaded by hand have secured to their side a plate B, Fig. 7, with a tbreading-slit b of quadrantal or approximately quadrantal form. The part c of a bent piece of wire &c. is soldered or otherwise secured to one side of the slit b in such a manner that the part e projects into the shuttle. The threading operation is performed by drawing the weft round the inclined end of a metal thread-guide g, Fig. 4, and into a recess a therein, and then drawing the weft round the part e and down the slit b into the eye d.
