Abstract

20,523. Armytage, W., and Dawson, C. W. Sept. 9. Blowing.-In a glassbottle blowing machine of the turn-over type, the air-valve spindle m is connected by links p, o<2> with the plunger, so that, when the spindle m is turned, the plunger is first withdrawn and then the air is turned on for blowing. The right-hand parisonm o u I d carrier w<1> is fitted with a locking- pin w<4> which holds it in the position shown, leaving the other carrier w<2> free to open when the parison is about to be swung round. The finishing-mould carriers c are separately pivoted at e<1> and geared together at f. The mould bottom is carried in one half of the finishing- mould. A spring stop operated by a handle is provided to lock the table b when the moulds are in axial alinement. A balance weight b<2> is fitted to the opposite side of the table b.
